This is an easy remove and replace item. YouTube has some great videos. Some small Phillips head screwdrivers are needed. Don't forget to calibrate the battery after install. I needed to do it twice and it works fine now!

Very nice battery and a third of the price of original laptop makers batteries. Even comes with 2 little screwdrivers which made installation much easier. Just looked up online how to install on an asus laptop and had it done quickly. Very well packed also. Highly recommend battery and company providing it.

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to IT stuff, so take that into consideration when reading this review. My old battery was dying and I didn't want to buy a new computer. This battery was fairly easy to install (with one caveat I'll mention later) and, based on the first few weeks of use, seems to be a dramatic improvement over my dying battery. The only problem I had when installing the battery is that I could insert my DVD/CD drive all the way back in. I ended up taking my computer in to Batteries and Bulbs and the guy there noticed I had to take one screw out of the back of my computer, push the drive all the way in, and then reinsert the screw. Worked like a charm!

Bought it for a friend whose laptop battery could jump from 30% to dead even when plugged in. It took a while for us to figure out how to take off the laptop back cover, but the rest of the setup was quick and easy. They haven’t tested its exact limits yet, but it’s definitely above 5 hours unplugged.

Installed the new battery three days ago, pressed the power key to turn on the computer, nothing happened, then I read one of the reviews mentioned that holding down the power key a minute or so on the first time. It worked! My computer came on! So far everything works correctly including the power indicator on the side of computer when battery was charged to 100%. I hope this battery can keep my computer going few more years.

After placing a very negative review of this battery due to problems with a poor conditioning procedure and a very short life between recharge cycles, the seller promptly contacted me and sent me a replacement battery. He noted that he now provides an improved product, along with recomendations for a more effective initial conditioning sequence. That replacement battery has been in use for several months and works very well. I would now definitely recommend the seller for his prompt response to my problem as well as now providing a much improved product.
