This battery was anticipated as the one in our laptop was not holdong a charge at all, 0%. The battery was shipped with some brake pads in the same box. The battery box was crumpled along one long edge and the plastic that was supposed to keep it in place was broken in two pieces, which would indicate a hard impact. I installed the battery, it charged to 100%, and initiated the calibration process and it seems to be as designed. The calibration takes 4 1/2 hrs. Will do extensive use test to see how it performs before the return window expires.I'm optimistic as we use this computer for many things.

The new battery was easy to install. The hard part was taking the cover off my asus laptop with all it's small screws. I'm unable to answer about the battery life or longevity because I just placed the new battery in my laptop.

This battery worked fine for the first 3 or 4 months but then it got to where it would not fully charge. After six months, it would only charge up to 27%. I tested it with asuss built-in battery diagnostic program and also tried to recalibrate it, but the battery failed with a "Replace (42), Fuailure ID Product ID: 4AL76UA#ABA" erorr message. I won't be buying this battery again.Edit: the seller provided great customer service and sent me a replacement battery under their one year warranty.

I ordered this replacement in January 2023. By July 2023, it was causing problems with my laptop. My model of laptop uses the main battery as the CMOS battery (what the computer uses to turn itself on before the operating system starts to load), and this replacement battery seems to discharge to a level too low for the computer to start properly after 6 months. Basically, I would not recommend you buy this replacement battery if you intend for it to be a long term replacement. It worked fine for some time, but after 6 months of normal daily use, it began to fail me. I am now going to buy a genuine asus replacement, like I should have done from the start. This battery also has a slight fitment issue. There is a gap between the battery connector and the battery where the contacts are exposed. I covered it with some tape to be safe. I don't think it should cause any problems, but certainly worth noting.--Update,The seller reached out after I left this review and I was given a full refund, in accordance with their 12 month warranty. Didn't have to send anything back, I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars. I may have received a defective product, who knows but I am happy not being out the money.

Replacing the battery was simple, once I gained access. I had to buy a precision screwdriver set, as the two that came with the battery proved useless for removing the back cover of my asus Pavilion laptop. The new battery is functioning as expected.

Changing any laptop battery is a pain in the but and a scary proposition for those that have never done it. Find a video on Youtube for your computer and go for it. This battery works way better than the old one, but have not put it to the test yet. Buy it if your puter battery is on its last leg and be careful opening your puter
