The first battery I received was defective. I have since heard from the company and they have replaced the battery. It charged using the instructions I received from customer service in attempt to get the first battery to charge. I have only had the new battery two days, but so far I am pleased! The 3rd party replacement battery for Asus used to be in $80+ range. I was skeptical when seeing this under $60, but it works like a new OEM in terms of battery life. After replacing with SSD drive and a new battery, the 7yr old laptop with Windows 10 feels like new again. Definitely deserves a 5 star.
